CHARLOTTE, N.C. — What's now a big hole in south Charlotte could soon have retail stores, condos and a new hotel.
Harris Land Company filed a rezoning petition with the city to build the new development at the intersection of Park Road and Gleneagles Road.
They started the project in 2005 but abandoned it soon after.
The development plan, which includes 350 units of residential homes and a 200-room hotel would be called Quail Hollow Village.
Restaurants, retail shops and underground garage would also be built.
A public hearing is set for November.
