Ambulance involved in east Charlotte hit-and-run crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police were investigating a hit-and-run crash involving an ambulance in east Charlotte early Thursday morning.

Police said a First Health ambulance out of Moore County was involved in the crash that also took out a power pole on Albemarle Road near Farm Pond Lane around 4:15 a.m.

Nobody was seriously hurt in the wreck and the ambulance was not transporting a patient at the time.

Officers said another vehicle was involved in the crash but have not released a description of it.
