STATESVILLE, N.C. — Statesville officers were negotiating with a man who barricaded himself at about noon on Wednesday inside a Statesville home.
Officers went to the home on West Bingham Street to serve an involuntary commitment order.
The man barricaded himself inside the home and was armed with a handgun.
No injuries were reported.
The man surrendered just after 9 p.m.
