Arrival on track to begin operations in Rock Hill this year

ROCK HILL, S.C. — British electric vehicle manufacturer Arrival has made a big bet on the Charlotte region to be the home and birthplace of its U.S. operations. The company is closing in on producing its first vehicles at its microfactories in the region and moving into its South End office space.

Equipment is currently being installed at the company’s 193,750-square-foot microfactory in Rock Hill, Arrival spokesperson Katie Blixt told the Charlotte Business Journal. A portion of the facility’s operations will begin by the end of the year, as announced, with a grand opening being planned for the first quarter. The microfactory is the first of two that have been announced in the region.
