CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-based Bank of America plans to expand its apprenticeship program over the next two years.
Reuters reports the bank will hire an additional 1,000 new apprentices in addition to the 800 it already hires each year.
The additional hires will target workers without a four-year college degree.
As part of the initiative, Bank of America will invest $150 million in organizations that help people with job skills and employment opportunities.
