Bath & Body Works unveils its first next-generation store concept at SouthPark mall

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte is the first market to land Bath & Body Works’ next-generation store concept.

The Columbus, Ohio-based retailer unveiled its Feel Good store prototype at SouthPark mall on Oct. 23.

The 3,127-square-foot space reimagines Bath & Body Works’ retail setting and makes fragrance discovery easier, says Rachel Page, the retailer’s North America Stores group vice president.

“While there might be new fixtures and a new layout, the core of who we are and what we do is still the same — and that’s to truly make people feel good,” Page says.

SouthPark’s redesign delivers a clean, modern and elevated shopping experience. Bath & Body Works declined to share renovation costs, but a Mecklenburg County commercial alterations permit listed construction costs of $615,000. Pinnacle Construction Co. was named as the general contractor.

The company plans to roll out a renovated store next week in Columbus, near the company’s global headquarters. A third will follow in Miami in November.
