FALLSTON, N.C. — Supply chain issues are being felt all across the country, including local farmers, who say a lack of fertilizer and grass are going to cause beef prices to rise.
Dennis Martin is an independent farmer in Fallston selling beef directly to buyers. He told Channel 9 that because of the supply chain shortage, the price of fertilizer to make grass to feed the cows is up -- and the price of extra feed he may need when he can’t grow grass is also rising.

Martin is not alone. Some farmers are having trouble even finding seed to grow grass.
