The Belmont Abbey College women’s basketball is a few games away from a championship.

“We’ve earned the opportunity to be here,” head coach Jason Williams said. “These kids come in the gym at 6 o’clock in the morning, whenever they can get in the gym and want to work.”
Belmont Abbey is scheduled to play in the Elite Eight, which is the farthest the team has ever gotten in the Division II tournament.
