CHARLOTTE — For the first time in nearly two decades, you’ll be able to watch the Charlotte Hornets for free on local, over-the-air television.
Five games will air between Channel 9 and TV64, with all five Hornets games available to around 1.3 million homes in the Charlotte region.

And these are games you won’t want to miss. Here’s the schedule and how to watch:
- Jan. 27 Charlotte Hornets vs. Los Angeles Lakers - 7 p.m. on Channel 9.
- Jan. 31 Charlotte Hornets vs. Los Angeles Clippers - 7 p.m. on TV64
- Feb. 5 Charlotte Hornets vs. Milwaukee Bucks - 7 p.m. on TV 64
- Feb. 27 Charlotte Hornets at Dallas Mavericks - 8:30 p.m. TV 64
- March 3 Charlotte Hornets vs. Golden State Warriors - 7 p.m. on Channel 9
The announcement marks the return to over-the-air broadcast for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

Channel 9 and TV64 will simulcast FanDuel Sports Southeast’s production of the games. Eric Collins will be the play-by-play announcer, with Hornets legend Dell Curry serving as analyst and Shannon Spake hosting and reporting from the courtside.
