Caldwell County releases new economic plan

CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Caldwell County’s new economic strategic plan was unanimously approved on Monday.

The plan focuses on four key areas to meet the changing needs of the community:

  • Existing industry support
  • Site development & recruitment
  • Public awareness and marketing
  • Other opportunities for collaboration, education and support

“The new Caldwell County Economic Development Strategic Plan is designed as a living document that is flexible and able to meet the ever-changing needs of the community,” said Ashley Bolick, Director of Caldwell County Economic Development.

Once the plan is approved, Bolick will visit municipalities and organizations to explain how the plan can help them interact with Caldwell County officials regarding future economic plans.

“The plan is built around collaboration between business and industry, local government, education and various other partners to strengthen economic and workforce development efforts in our region,” said Mark Poarch, the chairman of the Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Poarch says the plan, in collaboration with the Caldwell County Board of Commissioners, will make Caldwell County an even better place for business.
