CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Caldwell County Schools decided to make masks optional for students and gave parents the option for their K-12 children to learn virtually.

“We have people that watch national and state trends, and we make sure as we move forward that we accommodate all of those individuals,” assistant superintendent Bill Griffin said.
