CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With so many people forced apart from their families during the COVID-19 pandemic, it can be hard to stay positive.

Home health care service Right at Home has launched a new program to make sure seniors aren’t forgotten.

The program mirrors a wellness check, but replaces them with free wellness calls.

Caregivers told Channel 9 that in-person visits have declined because of the coronavirus, so the program allows them to call instead.

The goal of the program is to be another resource for seniors who may not have the help they need.

Caregivers check in with seniors at least three times a day, seven days a week.

If they don’t answer, then the callers reach out to their emergency contact number.

If you know someone that would like to sign up for the program, call any Right at Home office.

The number to the Charlotte office is (980) 475-1849.
