CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carowinds is gearing up for the kick-off of a Carolina-style celebration.
On Thursday, Channel 9 got a sneak peak of what’s to come on Saturday at the Great Carolina Fest.
The event will feature toe-tapping music, genuine southern cooking, craft brews and sweet tea.
Officials said it's a special way to kick off the summer season for the whole family.
The event begins Saturday June 9 and runs through June 24.
