CONCORD, N.C. — The first project is completed at The Grounds at Concord, the 2,000-acre industrial site at the former location of the Philip Morris cigarette manufacturing plant.

Carvana, the first announced project at the site, has finished construction on its 190,000-square-foot facility and began production there last month. Carvana has already hired 175 people at the plant and is adding more workers each month, a spokesperson said.
