Chairman Harold Cogdell in the clear

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — An investigation into Mecklenburg County Commission Chairman Harold Cogdell found that he did not commit any ethics violations.

The probe was first launched against Codgell in December.

He was accused of pushing for extra county money to go to a nonprofit health center, then later taking a job at that same center.

Earlier we reported Cogdell earned a $110,000 salary working at the center.

For clarification, the $110,000 was not Cogdell's salary. It was the amount of money he pushed the county to give to the health center.

Again, an outside auditor found that Cogdell didn't do anything wrong.
