GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — On Monday, Gaston County EMS was informed by Gaston Life Saving that it was discontinuing all services at 5 p.m.
The ambulances used by Gaston Life Saving are owned by Gaston County and were picked up and reassigned to other basic-life-support providers in the county.
Officials do not expect the suspension of service will adversely impact emergency and transport services in Gaston County.
Primary emergency and advanced ambulance services handled by Gaston County EMS are not affected by this change.
