CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Douglas airport will detour inbound traffic Saturday and Sunday on Josh Birmingham Parkway.
Drivers will be rerouted onto Harlee Avenue, Wilkinson Boulevard, Marshall Drive, Old Dowd Road, the airport's new roundabout and Rental Car Road to access the terminal as crews install overhead signs on the airport's new entrance road.
Road congestion may occur. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time to access the terminal.
During the detour, Long Term 1 and Long Term 2 will be entered into only by airport shuttle buses; however, arriving passengers will be able to exit the lots. Long Term 3 will be accessible via the outbound terminal roadway by turning left onto Old Dowd Road.
