Charlotte Fire got to the scene of the one-story warehouse at about 9 p.m. on North Tryon Street at 26th Street.

North Tryon Street was completely shut down a couple of miles from Uptown while crews battled the blaze.
“I was very concerned because the smoke was getting so close to us. And it was very hot, very very hot, you know what I’m saying. We barely could breathe. Like my breathing got messed up, you know,” Walla said.
