CHARLOTTE — Charlotte City Council is finalizing its financing to purchase the Red Line from Norfolk Southern.
The council will vote on Monday to set a limit of spending $93 million on the project.

Plans call for the city to be reimbursed from proceeds of the sales tax increase referendum.
The local government commission will decide whether to officially authorize the financing at a meeting in April.
