CHARLOTTE — A Queen City Councilman is looking to move up and take on a higher office.
Mayor Pro Tem Braxton Winston announced he would be running for Commissioner of Labor.

The current Labor Commissioner, Josh Dobson, is not running for reelection.
Winston has been on the Charlotte City Council for over 5 years; he was first elected in 2017.
