GASTONIA, N.C. — One of the marquee projects targeted for Gastonia’s Franklin Urban Sports and Entertainment District is expected to get underway early next year.
Charlotte-based Highline Partners is proposing Franklin Yards, a project with hundreds of apartments and street-level commercial space at 615 W. Franklin Blvd. Highline’s Mark Miller told the Charlotte Business Journal that he was preparing to break ground in the first quarter of 2024.

An amendment to the development agreement between Highline and the city of Gastonia for the project is set to be considered by the city council tonight. The development agreement was initially approved late last year.
