CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An Atlanta developer with a prolific portfolio in the Charlotte market has closed on real estate in Optimist Park.

Wood Partners earlier this month paid $8.6 million for about 4 acres on North Davidson Street, between East 21st and 22nd streets, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records. A significant portion of the site has been home to Southeast Lighting but smaller parcels included in the transaction contain single-family homes.
