CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Tuesday, a Charlotte pilot killed in a UPS plane crash in Birmingham will be laid to rest.
Captain Cerea Beal Jr. and his first officer died when their cargo jet clipped at tree at the end of a runway last week.
The plane slammed into a hillside and caught fire.
Federal investigators have been looking over the jet's data recorders.
Beal's funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
