CONCORD, N.C. — First Citizens Bancshares Inc. will shutter two more Charlotte-area branches later this year, according to filings with the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks.
The branches closing are at 1862 U.S. Highway 70 SE in Hickory and 8541 Concord Mills Blvd. in Concord. They will close Aug. 16 and Aug. 25, respectively, a spokesperson confirmed. All employees are being relocated.

Raleigh-based First Citizens is the Charlotte region’s fifth-largest bank by deposits. It is trimming its branch network in the Carolinas and has previously closed other locations in this area.
