KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Chick-fil-A is nearing a deal for a major distribution project in the Charlotte region, according to public filings and real estate sources.
The deal hasn’t been publicly announced. It is being moved through incentive negotiations under the code name Project Swarm.
Kannapolis and Rowan County approved incentives last month for the project, which would bring an investment of $41 million and at least 112 new jobs to Kannapolis.

The company is considering Lakeshore Corporate Park, the industrial project being developed by Fortius Capital Partners at the former Kannapolis Intimidators stadium site.
