City of Charlotte using unlikely partner to tackle affordable housing crisis

CHARLOTTE — The City of Charlotte is turning to an unlikely partner in tackling the affordable housing crisis: churches.

The Political Beat’s Joe Bruno spoke to councilmember Lawana Slack-Mayfield about the city’s Faith in Housing Initiative. She spoke on how churches make a great team to work with because of how often they have lots of land and their whole mission is to serve.
