CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte City Council talked about their plans for the winter weather Monday night at the council's meeting.

City Manager Ron Carlee said the city is doing fine on its stockpile of salt for now, but said de-icing planes could soon be a problem.

Carlee said nationally there's a shortage, and where airlines park their planes during the winter weather will be very strategic.
