CHARLOTTE — A busy west Charlotte intersection will get upgraded soon.

Charlotte City Council will vote Monday on whether to spend $1.3 million on improvements to the Remount Road/West Boulevard intersection.

Work will include sidewalks, a decorative plaza, concrete seat walls, bus shelters with amenities, landscaping, and public art,” city officials said.

It’s expected to be finished in 2028.
