CHARLOTTE — Attorneys are making their closing arguments in the case of two people accused of assaulting federal officers.

William Stanley and Heather Morrow disrupted federal workers and ignored orders while protesting a Border Patrol operation in Charlotte last November, prosecutors said.
Both defense teams argued that the entryway and parking lot are open to the public.
Channel 9 has reported on several arrests made by ICE agents during Operation Charlotte’s Web. The Department of Homeland Security initially said officers detained 370 people. In December, the agency increased the total to 425.
The weeklong enforcement campaign took place last November.
