CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery at a Charlotte 7-Eleven store.
A 7-Eleven employee told police that Wednesday 6 a.m. Wednesday, several armed people entered the store on Freedom Drive and demanded property from the victim. A suspect moved one of the victims from the front of the store to the back during the robbery, officials said.
The suspects left on foot after they received the property.
During the investigation, detectives identified Raquez Smith, 23, and Jessica Sadler, 21, as the suspects in the case. Both were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.
Thaddaus Jones, 23, was also arrested in connection to the case and charged with accessory after the fact and possession of stolen property.
The three suspects have been put in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
CMPD officials said the investigation is still ongoing.
