HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Police say a gunshot victim who died at Atrium Health University City may have been shot in Huntersville.
Officers say the victim was dropped off there around 4:30 Sunday morning.
Around 5:30 a.m., the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced that their homicide unit was on scene in the 8800 block of North Tryon Street.
The Huntersville Police Department says they are now leading the investigation.
They have not said where the shooting happened exactly.
They have not identified the victim, or said if they have any suspects.
