CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said it’s aware of a social media post that shows a man attacking a woman walking in Dilworth.
The video is from the attacker’s point of view. Channel 9 is not showing it because it is so graphic.
In it, you see a woman being punched in the face and falling to the sidewalk on East Boulevard near Euclid Avenue.
There is a police report for an attack of that nature from last Thursday.
It says the attacker and victim do not know each other and that the suspect was captured on camera. He was not known at that time.
CMPD said it’s investigating.
No additional details have been made available.
