Man found shot to death next to car outside northeast Charlotte apartment complex

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide that happened in northeast Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded around 3:20 p.m. to the intersection of Paces Oaks Boulevard at East WT Harris Boulevard. When they got to the scene, police found Li Y, 23, who had been shot and was lying next to a car in the road leading into an apartment complex.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Officials confirmed Y died at the scene.

No other details have been released and no arrests have been made.
