CHARLOTTE — Three of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ top leaders are retiring.
School board members tell Channel 9 they got retirement notices for Chief Financial Officer Kelly Kluttz and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Melissa Balknight. Chief HR Officer Angela Woods told the district she is resigning.
Their resignations will take effect in January.
Balknight temporarily stepped into the role of superintendent while Dr. Crystal Hill was on leave for two months this summer.
