CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Transportation is hosting a job fair Wednesday, Sept. 16, to recruit bus drivers and technicians.
The hiring fair will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Northpointe Transportation Center.
The district is looking to fill 89 bus driver vacancies reported as of Sept. 7. CMS Transportation operates the largest school transportation system in North Carolina.
The district operates a fleet of nearly 1,200 vehicles. The inventory includes active school buses, spare buses, activity buses, department maintenance vehicles, and administrative cars and trucks.
Attendees of the job fair will have the opportunity to meet with hiring managers, complete applications, and learn about career opportunities within the transportation department.
