CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Islamic Center of Charlotte is demanding a thorough investigation after a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher was accused of bullying a Muslim kindergartner.
The family's attorney said that the teacher at David Cox Road Elementary targeted the child for months.
The Islamic Center of Charlotte told Channel 9 that they want a swift investigation.
CMS issued a statement saying the investigation is underway and that the teacher remains on administrative leave.
