GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Coats American Inc. has sent notice to the state of plans to lay off 41 workers at its plant in Gaston County.
The company, affiliated with British industrial thread manufacturer Coats Group, expects to lay off those workers at its facility at 300 Dickson Road by April 24, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification received by the N.C. Department of Commerce on Feb. 24.
