CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local community on Sunday night honored two children killed in a crash over Memorial Day weekend.
Dobbs Eddings, 2, died when a box truck slammed into the back of his mother's car that was stopped at a red light in Wilmington.
Doctors performed an emergency cesarean section on Hadley Eddings, who was eight months pregnant.

Their father, Gentry Eddings, is a worship leader at a church in Ballantyne.
The grandparents of the two boys live in the Planters Walk neighborhood.
The community, to show support and allow the family to grieve in peace, chose to light tea lights to honor them.
Volunteers handed out more than 700 luminaries to neighbors to show support for the Eddings family.

“Just that they know that those babies were important to everybody and everyone is thinking of them and remembering them,” organizer Jessica Inman said.
The Eddings family was returning from a wedding on May 23 when a box truck crashed into the family's cars.
“It definitely hit close to home having children the same age. It was very devastating,” Inman said.
People on the Facebook group expressed they all wanted to do something, she said.
“(To) Show respect and that we are with them and feeling their pain,” Douglas Fuentes said.
“It's like hope that they still have hope,” Zachary Fuentes said after helping light candles in his driveway.
Each set of lights represents a family to support the Eddings.
“These lights, they represent Dobbs and Reed,” Jeremy Inman said.
“The light, the light of their lives, children,” Jessica Inman added.
Local businesses and neighbors donated the money to pay for lights for more than 700 homes in the neighborhood.
The family has posted on the neighborhoods Facebook page how much they appreciate the showing of love and support.
