Concerts in the age of COVID-19: 2 drive-in concerts to be held in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. — Concerts usually bring hundreds or thousands of people together, but since the pandemic, many large gatherings have been canceled or postponed.

In Concord on Saturday, there won’t be packed arenas but two drive-in concerts are scheduled.

Organizers for both events told Channel 9 concert-goers are required to wear masks if they leave their cars.

The Avett Brothers will be at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and artist Boosie will be at Route 29 Pavilion.
