CONCORD, N.C. — Concord police are conducting a death investigation on North Carolina Highway 49.

Officers said they are investigating a death on the highway just north of Old Charlotte Road and that there is no threat to the public.
No additional information has been released.
All lanes are open, but police are asking drivers to use caution when traveling through the area.
