Construction starting soon on apartments off North Tryon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An out-of-state developer relocating to Charlotte has closed on the land for his first project here and set a groundbreaking date.

Jonathan Cohen of J. Forrest Development told the Charlotte Business Journal that he will break ground on The Oliver at Tom Hunter on Aug. 1. That groundbreaking date comes after the developer acquired land for the apartment project earlier this week. Cohen is relocating to Charlotte from Connecticut to oversee the project.
