Construction worker killed working on Rock Hill High School campus

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A construction worker was fatally injured while working on the Rock Hill High School campus.

The York County coroner's office identified the man as Zachary Crotts.

The incident happened Saturday while he was operating a boom lift.

The York County sheriff's office said it is an ongoing investigation.

The company tasked with overseeing bond management, J.M. Cope, Inc., said in a release that it appeared to be an isolated incident and the campus is secure.
