CHARLOTTE — A recall of smoked salmon has been reclassified for the highest risk level.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recalled more than 100 cases of Kirkland Signature Brand smoked salmon from Costco for listeria back in October.
The department recently adjusted the recall to a Class I, which means the product could cause serious health issues or death.
If you have the product, officials said you can throw it away or return it for a refund.
