CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte City Council discussed Elevation Church's plans to build a 1,600-seat sanctuary in Ballantyne on Monday.
The mega-church wants to build at the corner of Lancaster Highway and Johnston Road. Traffic is one of the concerns there.
The Charlotte Department of Transportation wants to see some turn lanes, pedestrian signals and high-visibility crosswalks.
The council has 30 days to vote on the proposal.
