The Lancaster County School district has shut down in-person classes at Lancaster High School until Nov. 9 because of a jump in positive coronavirus tests.
Five new cases at the school led to the quarantine of 30 people, most of them key staff. The school does not have enough faculty to support in-person learning.

There were 48 staff members and 231 students quarantined districtwide because they had come in contact with someone with the virus.
Lancaster High is the first school in the district to halt in-person classes.
