ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Newly released guidelines from the CDC in December have confused several families on how they should handle a COVID-19 exposure.
It comes as cases among one age group are going up in Rowan County. In January, there were more than 500 COVID-19 cases among children four and under -- the highest it has been for that age group.

“We have definitely seen a higher rate of children being diagnosed with COVID. Infant, toddlers, specifically,” said Heather Fidler, on-site director at Partners in Learning Catawba, a child care facility in Salisbury.
