CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A popular south Charlotte restaurant is taking precautions after receiving reports of illness.
The Cowfish posted a statement on its Facebook page Saturday saying it was closing after some employees fell ill with flu-like symptoms and they received reports of sickness from diners.
The restaurant said it is working closely with health officials to determine the cause.
Channel 9 also contacted the Health Department, which says it visited the restaurant. Officials said they did not find any issues with sanitation.
The restaurant was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. The restaurant reopened Sunday.
