CHARLOTTE — The inbound lanes of Wilkinson Boulevard have reopened in west Charlotte after a crash brought down a utility pole Friday morning.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. near Morris Field Drive, and the road remained blocked for hours before reopening just before 6:30 a.m.
At the scene, Duke Energy workers were seen installing a new pole and working to clean up the debris.
The utility is not reporting any outages in the area.
MEDIC said it took one person to the hospital with minor injuries after the crash.
The outbound lanes remain open. Drivers heading toward Uptown should expect delays and take Alleghany Street to Ashley Road as an alternate route.
