Crews called to house fire in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC are responding to a house fire Friday morning near the Cotswald area.

It started just after 8 a.m. on Rutledge Avenue, in between Randolph and Providence roads, according to CFD. Firefighters are still working on determining what caused the fire.

MEDIC said they were responding to the scene, but no injuries were reported.

Several dozen firefighters were called to the house, but they were able to get the fire under control and extinguished in under an hour.
