A neighbor helped get the family out of the home after seeing smoke coming from the garage.

Everyone is safe, the neighbor said.

It took 80 firefighters and nine different fire agencies to put the fire out.

Before firefighters arrived, concerned neighbors sprang into action.

Drew Bentley, 9, is the reason crews learned about the fire. He got off the school bus, saw the flames, ran inside and told his dad to call 911.

“Oh my gosh, it was crazy," Bentley said. "It looked like the house was all orange and yellow.”

Jennifer Webb, another neighbor, rushed to help because she saw the garage door opening and closing on its own.

Webb said she banged on the door to alert the family.

“I told them they had to come out,” Webb said.

Family members were hesitant to leave because they couldn't find their daughter.

She was in the neighborhood walking the dog.

The house is estimated as a total loss.

“I just feel really bad, but I know in this neighborhood we all rally, so we will help them get everything back together,” Webb said. “This is the greatest neighborhood on earth.”

Officials don't know what started the fire.
